Worries about the H1N1 flu have prompted consumers across the country to buy hand sanitizer. But as some stores run low, many are stocking up.
Experts recommend hand-washing as one of the best ways to prevent any type of flu. But for people who can't get to a sink or want to be extra cautious, hand sanitizers make a great option. Many store shelves are running low on gels and wipes.

Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the inside of the elbow.
Teach children to stay at least six feet away from people who are sick.
In communities where H1N1 has occurred, avoid areas where large groups of people converge.
And above all, adults should stay home from work when they are sick, and children should not go to school or day care when they are not feeling well.
