You can feast on a pasta dish even if you don't have hours to spend cooking it yourself. But you have to add some of your own ingredients to make it taste like homemade.

Chicken Alfredo sounds like a dish you have to order at an expensive Italian restaurant. Not really, as long as you have a burner and a pan. Culinary Delights makes a frozen dinner you can heat on the stove in less than 30 minutes.

Price:

$6.59 for 24 ounces (about three servings)

How to Prepare Culinary Delights Chicken Alfredo:

  1. Remove packets of chicken, broccoli and mushrooms, Alfredo sauce, and pasta. Remove the fettuccini from the package and place it in a collander under running water, until completely defrosted. Drain and set aside.
  2. Defrost packet of Alfredo sauce under warm running water.
  3. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan and sauté chicken and vegetables for eight to ten minutes. Then add pasta and Alfredo sauce until thoroughly cooked.

Taste:

If you’re looking for rich creamy Chicken Alfredo from an authentic Italian restaurant, this isn’t it. But if you simply want a filling tasty meal for your family, it just might fill the bill. While the chicken is tender and the sauce is pretty creamy, the taste is a little bland. You’ll need to spice it up yourself (see below.)

How to Make Culinary Delights Frozen Chicken Alfredo Taste More Like Homemade:

  1. Halfway through cooking time add one teaspoon of Italian Seasoning and one teaspoon of garlic powder. Stir well.
  2. During the last three minutes of cooking, cover the sauce pan with a lid. This will keep the chicken tasting moist and prevent the vegetables from drying out.
  3. Just prior to serving, sprinkle two tablespoons of parmesan cheese over entire dish.
